Privacy policy
Sedulor (sedulor.com) keeps your projects, notes, tasks and focus rounds in one place, and its browser extension saves pages into them. This page says what Sedulor keeps about you, where it lives, and how to take it away.
What Sedulor keeps
- Your account. Your name and email address, and a password that is stored only as a hash. If you sign in with Google, Google gives Sedulor your name, email address and Google account id; Sedulor never sees your Google password.
- Your work. Projects, notes, tasks, and the text, links, images and files you save into them. Each focus round with its start, pause and end times, and your daily goal. The sites you choose to block during a round, and how many times a blocked site was opened. Your preferences: theme, time zone, and how the app behaves for you.
- Your browser. A session cookie that keeps you signed in. Unsent drafts and preferences in your browser’s own storage, so a lost connection loses nothing.
- Service records. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived request logs (IP address, browser, time) to run and protect the service.
The browser extension
The Sedulor extension captures a page, a selection, a link or an image only when you ask it to, with the shortcut, the context menu or its button. When you do, it reads that page’s title, address and the part you chose. During a focus round it blocks the sites you listed and notes an attempt when one is opened. It talks only to sedulor.com and to Sedulor’s database. It does not read your browsing otherwise, and it never sends anything without you.
Where it lives
- Appwrite Cloud stores your account and your work, in Frankfurt, Germany (EU).
- Vercel hosts the app and runs its server in Frankfurt.
- Resend sends the verification and password-reset codes to your email address.
- Google handles the sign-in only if you choose “Continue with Google”.
When you save a link, Sedulor’s server fetches that page once to show its title and preview image. Images in notes are served through Sedulor so the site they came from does not see you.
How it is used
To run Sedulor for you, and for nothing else. Sedulor does not sell your data, does not show advertising, and does not share your work with anyone. Your notes and captures are yours; nobody at Sedulor reads them unless you ask for help with a specific problem.
Keeping and deleting it
Everything is kept while your account exists. In Settings, under Account, Delete account removes your account and all of your work at once; there is no undo. A project can be exported to Markdown at any time. Signing out ends the session; clearing your browser’s site data removes the local drafts and preferences. Verification codes expire within minutes and are deleted once used.
Your rights
You can see, correct, export and delete your data yourself from the app. For anything else — a copy of what is held, a question, a concern — write to the address below and it will be answered.
Sedulor is not directed at children under 13.
